Disable Thumbnails in Project Panel
Thought I’d start sharing some tips that have helped me become a better and more productive After Effects user.
Today’s tip is one way to speed up your workflow. In Preferences (Preferences > Display) switch on “Disable Thumbnails in Project Panel”. This prevents AE from updating the thumbnail image at the top of the Project Panel each time you select an item in the panel. This is especially useful when dealing with big images. If you need to preview an image just double click it.
